Beauty in a Bottle Hit Cinemas On October 29 Nationwide!

Quantum Films and Skylight Films proudly presents another film that will tackles women struggle with their insecurities about how they look as they get caught up in the building craze for a new beauty product.

“Beauty in a Bottle” is a trilogy involving three women and their struggle to combat their respective beauty problems – old age, weight, and average looks. Judith (Angeline Quinto)who think and feel that she is ugly , Vilma (Assunta De Rossi)is the aging creative director, and Estelle (Angelica Panganiban) an up-and-coming actress who’s gained some weight, and tries to lose it in order to become the endorser of a new beauty product. These three women with different insecurities. Their lives intertwine when Vilma’s advertising agency is looking for an endorser for a new beauty pill product called “Beauty in a Bottle,” a seemingly miraculous anti-aging pill that promises youthful skin.

During the BlogCon on October 27, 2014 at Star Cinema conference room, Angeline recalled that she felt ugly before and admittedly says that she underwent beauty enhancement to boost her self esteem and confidence, she has been taking injections administered by a doctor to make her skin fairer and smoother.

Assunta on the other hand portrays a much different role compared to her sexy roles in the past, this time, she will feel insecure to Ellen Adarna in the movie because she is young, fairer and sexier.

“Beauty in a Bottle” harps on a message that beauty has a price and many women face the pressure of having to live up to society’s expectation. But the films showcases that real beauty is on the inside.

“Beauty in a Bottle,” is produced by Skylight Films and Quantum Films, co-written by director Jadaone with Chris Martinez. Rated PG by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board and graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

The romantic comedy opens Oct 29 nationwide.
