nvestigation on the multimillion peso robbery incident which took place inside GG Poker Manila located at HK Sun Plaza, Macapagal Blvd. Brgy. 76, Pasay City on September 16, 2022, uncovered that the incident was a possible inside job plot.
According to the progress report, scrutiny on the recordings captured by the CCTV that day, showed footages of the former manager (now PR Man) of the establishment ALFAMIL YAP y UY acting anxiously and suspiciously.
It was also seen that it was him who assisted the suspects in going to the cafeteria. Consequently, in line with the investigation, the cellphone of Mr. Yap was seized wherein messages about the location and number of CCTVs and DVRs thereof were uncovered.
He also allegedly talked to the cashier to declare that only Five Hundred Thousand (Php 500,000.00) were taken by the robbers instead of the actual amount of almost 15 Million Pesos.
Of all the circumstances building suspicion upon Mr. Yap, it was his instruction not to call and report the incident to the police yet which strengthened the stand of the investigators to point at him as the main suspect and mastermind in the incident, his reaction being contrary to ordinary human experience.
Chief NCRPO PBGen Jonnel C Estomo commended the police officers on case for the efficient handling of the case leading to the suspect.
“I commend the unwavering effort of our investigators in the efficient use of investigative processess leading to the immediate arrest of the mastermind in the multimillion peso robbery incident in Pasay. This reflects that indeed, our S.A.F.E. NCRPO campaign is working its way towards a safer Metro Manila for all.” said PBGen Estomo.
Mr. ALFAMIL YAP y UY was already arrested and duly referred to the office of the City Prosecutor via inquest proceedings while continuing follow-up operation is still on course to arrest his cohorts.
