A suspect for robbery hold-up was arrested in no time due to the alertness of Sta. Cruz Police Station cops who were approached by a robbed Taxi Driver on September 18, 2022 at about 3:15 am.
Suspect was identified as Aifel John Misador y Rosete, 41 yrs old, taxi driver, and a Member of Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang.
Investigation disclosed that suspect boarded a taxi driven by the complainant/victim, Richard De Vera, from Caloocan City area and allegedly to be conveyed to Retiro, Quezon City, traversing along A. Bonifacio St. beside Manila North Cemetery. On their way, a passenger suspect declared hold-up then pulled out his knife and stabbed the victim on his right forearm and managed to jump out of his driven taxi cab. The suspect then took the control of the said vehicle and sped away towards Blumentritt St. direction.
Complainant sought help from a passing by motorcycle rider and saw an established OPLAN SITA located along Blumentritt St. in front of Marula North Cemetery. The victim then reported the incident to the police personnel.
Wasting no time, police officers along with the victim chased the fleeing suspect and were able to corner the latter along Blumentritt St in front of Pure Gold, Brgy 372, Sta Cruz, Manila.
Upon positive identification, the suspect was arrested and authorities recovered the taxi cab with its ignition key and folded knife.
Thereafter, all the parties involved and pieces of evidence were brought to Sta Cruz Police Station while complaints for Attempted Robbery, violation of PD 9 as amended and RA 10883 (Anti-carnapping Law) will be filed against the arrested suspect.

Higit sa lahat ay nais nating makita, maramdaman at makasigurado ang ating publiko ang sinseridad ng kapulisan na maglingkod at mapanatili ang kaayusan sa ating rehiyon,” he said.
