EDSA – The GMA Artist Center hunk recently graced the successful premiere of his latest movie EDSA-a thought-provoking advocacy flick which will be exclusively screened in schools. EDSA is a very special project for Aljur because, apart from its national and historical significance, it also reunited him with his former onscreen partner Kris Bernal. After years of praying and requesting, fans of the phenominal Aljur Abrenica-Kris Bernal love team, collectively know as AlKris, finally got their much desired reunion project.

And it was an interesting project for sure-Aljur Abrenica plays Jun, a snatcher in his 20’s. released just in time for the 30th anniversary of the historic EDSA revolution, EDSA revolves around the lives of six people whose lives intersect on the thoroughfares of EDSA. EDSA is directed by Alvin Yapan and produced by Madonna Sanchez.

EXPRESSWAY

They’ve both got transportation routes in the title, but that is the only similarity Expressway has to EDSA. An entry in this year’s Sinag Maynila Independent Film Festival, Aljur plays a hitman who kills corrupt criminals. Ever the dedicated actor, Aljur Interviewed a real-life killer to make his portrayal more believable. Expressway is directed by Ato Bautista. Other members of the cast are Alvin Anson and Kiko matos. the 2nd Sinag Maynila Film Festivals runs from April 21 to 26.

MABALASIK

In Mabalasik, Aljur shares the screen with another GMA Artist Center hunk, award-winning actor Rocco Nacino. According to the Facebook page of the movie, Mabalasik is about ” A newlywed cop that hunts down a predatore thief for the murfer of his godfather, throughtout the streets of Manila, an island province,a nd into the clutches of an ominus jungle ruled by a vicious tribe that turn both hunter and hunted into prey.” Aljur plays the predator thief, a fellow named Elias Obrero. Rocco takes on the role of the newlywed cop. It will definitely be exciting to see how Rocco and Aljur, who are good friends in real life, act as each other’s sworn enemies. Mabalasik is also directed by Ato Bautista.

Aljur Abrenica Partners With PUMA Philippines

PUMA Philippines set to launch a campaign specifically on Running and Training category wherein Aljur was recently named as the ambassador. He will be taking a big part in PUMA Philippines upcoming “Ignite Ultimate” campaign which will officially be launched by the end of march 2016.

PUMA Philippines and Aljur Abrenica will launch fan activation thoughout the partnership around the country such as consumer and retail events, training and fitness related social media content, and product programs.
