Guam’s Hafa Adai Spirit At The 2015 PTAA Travel Tour Expo

Frequent travelers and fair-goers can expect a unique and breath -taking island experience in Manila as the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) bring its one-of-a-kind Hafa Adai spirit to the 2015 PTAA Travel Tour Expo, from February 13-15, 2015, at the Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

A regular participant at the annual travel exhibition, GVB is nce again giving Filipinos a glimpse of what the US island territory of Guam has to offer as it continue to redefine the definition of paradise. It offers the perfect balance of rich culture, natural island beauty, luxurious resorts and spas, world-class entertainment and duty-free shopping, for that tatseful weekend getaway.

As Guam gears it 2020 tourism goal, GVB this year continues to bring big events for sports, culture, arts, and shopping to cater to the needs of its different market segments. Runners and fitness buffs can look forward t the 2015 Guam International marathon – an official qualifier to the Boston marathon, happening on April 19, 2015, followed by the annual Ko’Ko’ Road Race in October. Culture and the arts also takes center stage with the Guam Micronesian Island Fair that gathers various Micronesia islands in Guam, from  may 15-17, 2015, to showcase their rich cultures. To cap off the island’s line-up of events and festival, GVB is also set to once again hold its biggest shopping event in the region – the 2015 Shop Guam Festival (SGF). Happening from November 1, 2015 until February 15, 2016, the annual SGF highlights Guam’s duty-free shopping and world-class dinning with its festival exclusive deals.

Apart from Guam’s signature events, the US island paradise is also set to host Olympics of Cultural events – the Festival of Pacific Arts, from May 22 to June 4, 2016. An event  that has 27 participating countries, it gathers and showcases various cultural heritage and the arts in one stage to celebrate the human spirit.

For this year’s installation of the PTAA Travel Tour Expo, Guam once again aims to match its performance in the past year wherein they took home two recognition for its booth and cultural performances. To further give fair-goers a taste of the island’s culture and Hafa Adai spirit, Guam’s Chamarro Cultural Dancers and Musician are scheduled to perform  at the Guam booth and the events main stage during the three-day travel trade event.

The Guam Visitors bureau booth will be located at the 3rd hall of SMX Convention Center.
