NCRPO: Alleged NBI Consultant, Cohort; Arrested for Robbery Extortion in Pasay


An NBI consultant and his cohort suspect in robbery extortion and obstruction of justice were arrested during the conduct of a joint entrapment operation by the Regional Intelligence Division, NCRPO, and Detective Special Operations Unit, SPD on September 18, 2022, that stemmed from the report of the 25-year-old female victim.

An initial report that reached the office of PBGEN Jonnel C Estomo, ARD, NCRPO at about 8:30 PM along Gil Puyat cor Taft Avenue, Pasay City, joint operatives led by PLTCOL Gilbert Lee Mendova conducted the said entrapment operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect who was identified as LARRY MARBID y NAPERI, 48 years old after receiving the marked money in exchange for the release of two Chinese Nationals who were rescued by the NBI during their operation last September 16, 2022.

Subsequently, during the course of the apprehension of MARBID, one male suspect who was identified as Laurence Delos Tria y Cathillira, 39 years old, intervened, thus, also resulting in his arrest for Obstruction of Justice.

Seized from the suspects’ possession are three (3) pieces of dusted money of one Thousand (Php.1,000.00) peso bill bearing serial numbers incorporated with three bundles of boodle money representing two hundred Forty Seven thousand (Php 247,000.00) pesos, and one Yamaha Nmax.

The arrested suspects and recovered evidence were brought to DSOU-SPD Office for proper documentation and disposition.

ARD Estomo commends the operatives for a job well done. He also reiterated his warning to criminals, “binabalaan ko ang mga mapagsamantala na kayo ay hindi makakalagpas sa batas sapagkat patuloy ang paglulunsad namin ng mga operasyon laban sa mga kagaya niyong mapagsamantala.”

He added, “sa ating mga kababayan, huwag kayong matakot at magdalawang isip na magsumbong. Tulong tulong tayo upang mas mapadali ang paghuli sa mga kriminal na kagaya nito.”
