At the Press launch today dubbed as “The Big Level Up”at Loft, Manansala Towers in Rockwell, Sky Cable revealed their latest offering which is the Sky On-Demand.

TV viewing will never be the same again as Sky brings the latest innovation in Online Entertainment”. Viewers will soon be able to directly stream their most-loved cable TV, local shows and favorite movies. With this newly-launched Sky On-Demand, it allows you to completely control the kind of shows you want to watch just right at your finger tips.
How to use Sky On Demand
The service has been designed to be intuitive and simple to use. Once everything has been set up, use your existing Sky remote control to start watching shows on demand. Press the TV guide and then the red button to access programmes. The main Sky On-Demand home page has the following four features:

Programmes are organised by category tabs for you to quickly find what you want to watch. Not sure what you want? Browse the “Most Popular” sections within each tab for inspiration and ideas.
Play now
Allows you to start watching instantaneously without lengthy downloads and buffering lead times. Please note not all programmes have play now enabled.
Programme Thumbnails
Visual thumbnail images of programmes in the Sky On-Demand, together with keywords and short descriptions allow you to quickly search and find the programmes you want to watch

You’ll also be able to preview trailers to the highlighted programmes by pressing the red button on your Sky remote.
Sky On-Demand has been designed to be intuitive and easy to use. Sky On-Demand is the answer to the viewers’ long-time need to catch-up on their missed episodes and unfinished movies by directly stream to Sky On-Demand digibox. This latest innovation by Sky will be made available to the public this March 2015.

To truly bring the customer’s viewing experience to the next level, Sky On-Demand also brings video playback functionality and personal playlist. This will allow each member of the family to experience premium channel programming alongside a robust service that will enable them to stream any series or film of their choice.
SKYcable subscribers can soon use this new service by simply upgrading their current SD or HD digibox to the new SKY On-demand digibox for a one-time fee of as low as P499 depending on their cable TV subscription plan. Subscribers can opt-in for upgrades after the consumer launch in March this year.

New SKYcable subscribers will soon be able to avail of the service for as low as P2,199 installation fee. Although SKY On-Demand can be accessed using other wired home Internet providers, this value added service is best experienced with SKYbroadband. Aside from its fast Internet connection, SKYbroadband subscribers can also enjoy premium access to special foreign and local movie titles from Paramount Pictures, NBC-Universal, Star Cinema, Regal Films and Viva Films.
