According to the latest report by App Annie, Shopee is the number one shopping app in Southeast Asia and Taiwan by average monthly active users (MAU) in the second quarter of 2019. Shopee is also the most downloaded shopping app in the region during this time. This demonstrates Shopee’s consistent success in engaging its users, who regularly tune in to the platform to enjoy the best deals and a wide variety of features.
Brands and sellers achieve new heights with Shopee LIVE
Shopee Live has been immensely popular since its introduction this year. Brands have successfully leveraged the feature to better reach and engage people across the region.
Leading international brands Samsung and L’Oreal partnered with Shopee to co-develop a series of live streams for their Super Brand Day campaigns in July. Users enjoyed the best deals as they tuned in to exclusive content from Samsung and L’Oreal on Shopee Live. Both brands recorded huge success for their respective campaigns, as traffic more than doubled from an average day while sales surged by over 12 times.
Critiano Ronaldo to join exclusive Shopee Live stream on 28 August
Shopee will take Shopee Live to the next level for 9.9 Super Shopping Day. Users in all markets can tune in on 28 August for an exclusive live stream straight from Italy with Shopee’s brand ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo. The stream includes a special interview with Cristiano Ronaldo, who will show off his skills and tackle questions from fans across the region. Shopee enhances the live streaming experience in the Philippines
Every day till September 9, Shopee users in the Philippines can also look forward to an upsized Shopee Live calendar that is specially curated to local preferences. Highlights include:
- Super Celebrity Show: Tune in every day at 6PM from September 1 until September 9 as popular stars including Dimples Romana, Ramon Bautista, and Joyce Pring take part in a series of games and contests. Viewers also stand a chance to win special giveaways such as a brand-new HD TV, refrigerator, and gaming laptop.
- Countdown on September 8: Shopee will start a Countdown Live Show at 9PM on September 8 to usher in the grand finale of 9.9 Super Shopping Day. Users can enjoy 3 hours of exclusive voucher giveaways and amazing deals as Shopee warms up for September 9.
