Kids from the 80’s up to the current generation will never say no to the cuteness of ponies, what started as a TV show based from the Hasbro toy line is now a magical movie adventure.

As several incarnations of the My Little Pony universe galloped up to the 2010 premiere of the immensely successful My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic TV series created by Lauren Faust, the Ponies gathered whole new generations of young fans that led to the newest part of the kingdom, My Little Pony: The Movie.

Voiced by an all-star cast led by British actress Emily Blunt (“The Girl on the Train”, Kristin Chenoweth (“Glee”, “Wicked”), Liev Schreiber (“X-Men: Origins”), Michael Peña (“Chips”, “Ant-Man”), Sia, Taye Diggs (“Rent”), Uzo Aduba (“Orange is the new black”) and Zoe Saldana (“Columbiana”).

The story starts in the Kingdom of Equestria, when dark forces threaten Ponyville and the existence of the Kingdom, it’s up to the Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity to save everyone around them.

Forcing them to embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship to save their home.

Director Jayson Thiessen sees the film as the perfect timing to the continuation of life in the series.
“From the beginning, the storytelling was so strong on the series, that I thought, someday, we could work our way up to making a story worthy of the big screen. So being able to do that now was huge. It felt like it was inevitable that we would get here eventually,” says Thiessen.

This a film that is sure to give you the magical feels of rainbows, ponies and friendship, while showing kids that ponies are there to make your day even brighter.

Blunt, who voices Tempest Shadow heartily agrees. “So many people have connected with the ponies over the years,” says Blunt. “Adults who watched when they were younger and kids who play with them today, I think everyone will be excited to see the ponies in a new light.”

This is surely the perfect film for the parents weekly bonding day with their kids, letting them feel the nostalgic vibes with their childhood and at the same time usher in a new generation of pony lovers in the world.

“My Little Pony: The Movie” is now in theaters and is distributed by Pioneer Films.
