I received a rare invite from a friend of mine, Rodel Flordeliz, a multi-faceted or rather I would say a celebrity on his own right, to witness the 1st ever WISH 107.5 Music Awards Press Conference held at Alab Restaurant, Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Wish 107.5 vows that this Music Awards will be an annual event to give recognition to deserving artist and through the first Wish 107.5 Music Awards, the station does not only aim to present its usual award-giving program, but highlight the new ways in which Filipinos can love and appreciate music – the country’s first-ever FM-on-wheels, the Wish 107.5 Bus.
You can vote for your favorite artists, songs and Wishclusive performances. You can vote once daily using your e-mail, and Facebook and Twitter accounts. Polling period starts on December 14, 2015 (12 noon) and ends on January 26, 2016 (12 noon).The total score of a nominee will be composed of online votes (50 percent) and judges’ votes (50 percent).

Brimming with talent and potential, the OPM industry continues to glimmer with new artists dominating the scene. This award is bestowed to the new artist whose blossoming stardom shines brightest. It honors upcoming Filipino musicians who have shown passion to keep OPM alive through fresh and innovative music.
Best Wish Cover
The Best Wish Cover Award is presented to an artist who has rendered the freshest revival of previously recorded, commercially released song by another artist. Despite earlier prominence of the original recording the awardee has managed to capture the hearts of the listeners with his/her own rendition.
Best Wishclusive Performance by a Young Artist
The Best Wishclusive Performance by a Young Artist is awarded to an artist who was able to prove his/her musical talent by giving a different spin to his/her live performance on the Wish 107.5 Bus despite his/her tender age.
Best Wishclusive Performance by a Group
The Best Wishclusive Performance by a Group is given to a band or a vocal group who has delivered exceptional showmanship during their guesting onboard the Wish 107.5 Bus.
Best Wishclusive Performance by a Female Artist
The Best Wishclusive Performance by a Female Artist is awarded to a female performer who has given a remarkable live act during her guesting onboard the Wish 107.5 Bus.
Best Wishclusive Performance by a Male Artist
The Best Wishclusive Performance by a Male Artist is awarded to a male performer who has given a remarkable live act during his guesting onboard the Wish 107.5 Bus.
Wish Urban Song of the Year
The Wish Urban Song of the Year category recognizes contemporary OPM songs derivative of RnB such as urban pop, urban rock, and/or urban alternative.
Wish Ballad Song of the Year
The Wish Ballad Song of the Year distinguishes the best sweet-sounding OPM song that left the most remarkable impression on listeners.
Wish Original Song of the Year
OPM is ever evolving with new sounds. The Wish Original Song of the Year is given to an original composition that garnered the most requests from listeners.
Wish Male Artist of the Year
The Wish Male Artist of the Year Award is given to the male artist who stood out among his peers by giving memorable hits and all-out performances that proves his place in the music industry.
Wish Female Artist of the Year
The Wish Female Artist of the Year Award is given to a female artist who stood out among her peers by giving memorable hits and all-out performances that proves her place in the music industry.
Wish Young Artist of the Year
The Wish Young Artist of the Year Award is given to the young artist who stood out among his/her peers by giving memorable hits and all-out performances that proves his/her place in the music industry.
