Microsoft today announced the availability of the Lumia 640 XL in the Philippines for only PhP11,990 (SRP). The Lumia 640 XL offers more personal computing and increased productivity through seamlessly integrated Microsoft Office experiences, OneDrive storage and fast connectivity. The Lumia 640 XL will upgrade to, and benefit from, the features of Windows 10 as it becomes available later this year.
For people on the go, Microsoft’s core Office apps; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote are pre-installed on the 640 XL, which is great for productivity. Moreover, the phone comes with a free one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal with one terabyte of cloud storage and 60 minutes of Skype calling per month. If that doesn’t sound good to you, what else you want for Lumia 640 XL?
- Smoothly and quickly access important documents or run all of your favorite websites, apps and games, thanks to the on-board 1GB of memory and powerful quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
- View photos and watch videos on a crisp 5.7” HD display.
- Power through the work day and enjoy almost 24 hours of talk time, thanks to a long-lasting 3000 mAh battery.
- Capture detail rich photos even in low light, thanks to the 13 MP camera on the Lumia 640 XL with LED flash and Lumia Camera right out of the box.
- Stay updated on the most important information with Glance Screen, available out of the box on the Lumia 640 XL.
- Enjoy the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim update, complete with one-swipe Action Center, Word Flow and Live Folders.
- Keep up-to-date with the best features through regular updates to Windows, including the benefits of the Windows 10 service as it becomes available later this year.
“People are looking for a device which brings them more flexibility to switch easily between work and play, without breaking the bank” said Gary Chan, Microsoft Devices’ Head of Marketing in Pan Asia. The Lumia 640 XL keeps people prepared for anything, with the full range of Microsoft experiences – including Office and OneDrive – which Lumia users have come to expect straight out of the box, a superb 5.7” HD screen and long lasting battery.”
Chan adds, “As the age old demand for ‘more for less’ extends to the smartphone market, the Lumia 640 XL presents a strong option for those customers who want the increased productivity a smart device offers without sacrificing affordability.”
The Lumia 640 XL is expected to be available in the Philippines from May 1, 2015, in matte cyan, orange and black, as well as glossy white.
Microsoft announced another device, the Lumia 540 Dual Sim, designed for young, ambitious people looking for their first serious smartphone. The Lumia 540 Dual SIM features the latest Windows Phone 8.1 innovations and boasts a 5-inch HD display and crafted design details. It helps people stay productive on-the-go with Microsoft services like Skype and Office available out-of-the-box, and enables better mobile experiences, such as taking wide-angle selfies that fit in more of the action, thanks to the front-facing 5 megapixel camera. The new Lumia 540 Dual SIM is capable of upgrading to Windows 10 and will be available by June this year in cyan, orange, white and black for only PhP7,990 (SRP).
